Doctor's Choice Supports Nodding Disease Nutrition Response

Doctor's Choice Supports Nodding Disease Nutrition Response

Doctor's Choice partnered with National Medical Stores and Joint Medical Store in the launch of a medicinal supplement intended to support children affected by nodding disease in northern Uganda. The launch was reported during an event at Odeke Nodding Disease Centre in Omoro district.

According to the published report, the supplement contains nutrients derived from locally grown moringa and was introduced as part of a broader effort to strengthen nutrition support for children living with the syndrome. The program brought together public-health leadership, distribution partners, and Doctor's Choice's local manufacturing capability.

The story highlighted the practical value of a supplement that is easy to swallow, easy to digest, and developed with local needs in mind. For Doctor's Choice, the moment reflected the role local product development can play when health systems need responsive, Uganda-made solutions.
